A.
A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO THIS
SOMNAMBULISTIC CREATURE
—-

On a snowy spring morning, Hè Tiāndīng was born in a post-industrial small city of China. If she had been walking continuously along the latitudes of the earth since birth, perhaps at this point she would have reached New York in another way, where she is based now. With her mother's expectation, she started piano lessons at the age of three. According to her mother, after seven years she resented it and made a solemn decision to quit. In retrospect, this was the beginning of her falling into the artistic precipice.

When she was a teenager, a teacher called Fish Star once predicted that if she could conceal the filth of the world, she would become a politician; if she could not tolerate the impurity, she would become an artist.
She always found the prophecy inexplicable, until she realized that it had come true. It was too late.

She has become
an artist.

But who knows what that means.
